Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out, she was ranked second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200 meter in the world championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal time and time again in 2007 beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes at her particular events.
